ABSTRACT:
A process and apparatus for molding recyclable cushions is disclosed. The cushions are molded by a process comprising filling a mold with polyester fiber clusters, encapsulating the fibers clusters with a scrim sheet or adhesive, closing the mold, rotating the mold using a rotary table to a heating station where hot air is forced through the mold, rotating the mold using the rotary table to a cooling station to cool the mold, and subsequently releasing the molded part from the mold.
