ABSTRACT:
The conductivity of ground ferrophosphorus particles is increased by contacting the particles with an aqueous solution of hypophosphorus acid, preferably at a temperature between room temperature and about 50.degree.C. The particles are then washed and dried and can be mixed with resinous binders to formulate coating compositions. The coating compositions are particularly useful for coating galvanized steel that is to be welded.
