In a feed drive apparatus wherein a moving element27is driven by drive legs21, 22having extension/contraction deforming parts23and shear deforming parts24, sine wave drive voltages are respectively applied to the extension/contraction deforming parts23and shear deforming parts24of the drive legs21, 22in order to permit high speed operation, and make the average voltage effectively zero.
