ABSTRACT:
The disclosed alloy with a shape memory effect and a pseudo-elasticity exhibits a thin-plate martensitic structure, which alloy is made by heating an alloy consisting of 32-34 wt. % of nickel, 3-6 wt. % of titanium, 10-15 wt. % of cobalt and the remainder of Fe to a temperature between 900.degree. C. to 1,200.degree. C. and effecting an aging treatment at a temperature between 500.degree. C. and 800.degree. C. so as to generate a thin-plate martensite.
