ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides an improved faucet which has two holes (115), (116) formed on the bottom of a hemispherical valve seat (113) on the same plane, two channels (117), (118) formed on another plane and these two planes cross each other; six holes on a ball valve (14) are separated by two groups, one group of holes (142), (143), (144) respectively match the channel (117) and holes (115), (116); when the ball valve (14) is turned, another group of holes (145), (146), (147) respectively match the channel (118) and holes (115), (116); a holding groove (148) for a holding protrusion (114) to pass through and hold the ball valve (14) in position; an H-shaped guide groove (152) formed on a valve stem guide (15) for a valve stem (141) to pass through and connect with a handle (24); a bi-directional feed pipe with one end connects with a valve outlet hole (124) which open or close is controlled by a solenoid valve (31), with the other end connects with the channel (118); a pipe juncture (134a) formed on the feed pipe (134) is connected with an outlet pipe (131); a hot water inlet pipe (133) and a cold water inlet pipe (132) respectively connect with the holes (115), (116); the solenoid valve (31) of a proximity acutation assembly (30) connects with a valve seat recess (122) and an inner rim of valve holder (123); when the handle (24) is pulled forward down, the improved faucet is controlled by the proximity acutation assembly (30); if power failure occurs, pull the handle (24) backward up; the improved faucet will become hand controlled.
