ABSTRACT:
An f.theta. lens having a skew correction function for use in a scanning optical system comprises a first lens having a negative power in a main scan plane, a second lens having a positive power in the main scan plane and arranged next to the first lens, a third lens having a toric plane and a positive power in the main scan plane and arranged next to the second lens, and an air lens formed between the first lens and the second lens having a positive power in the main scan plane.
