ABSTRACT:
A fixation device for repairing a fracture of a bone having a medullary canal, where the device includes a radial transcutaneous pin configured to be mounted generally radially to the bone on a first side of the fracture and the radial transcutaneous pin includes an external free end. The device further includes an axial transcutaneous pin configured to enter the bone on a second side of the fracture and extend axially down the medullary canal with the axial transcutaneous pin including an external free end. An external member is configured to extend between the free ends of the pins and secure them relative to each other.
