A sheet delivery mechanism for a sheet-fed printing machine which is adapted to reduce changes in the position of sheet material in a stack during a stack changeover operation and which facilitates the formation of a stack with properly aligned edges. The sheet-delivery mechanism includes at least one length adjustable edge guide16supported between a stack support plate14and a cross element15which can be detachably connected to the frame of the sheet delivery mechanism.
