ABSTRACT:
An expression enhancer has a DNA sequence which is capable of forming a t-RNA clover-leaf structure after transcription and hybridizes in that region of the DNA which, after transcription, forms the anticodon loop in the clover-leaf structure with an oligonucleotide with the sequence 5'-GACTTAGAAGGTCGTT-3' or its complementary sequence (5'-AACGACCTTCTAAGTC-3'). It can be used to increase the yield in the expression of a recombinant gene by transformation of suitable host cells with an expression vector containing the recombinant gene, whereby it is likewise introduced into the host cells in a form capable of expression and expressed.
