ABSTRACT:
An expansion valve1comprises a piping member10having passages to which pipes for refrigerant are connected, and a cassette unit100, which are formed as separate components. The cassette unit100comprises a flange portion111and a tube member110which are welded together, and to the interior of which are fixed a guide member170, an orifice member180and a plate member166. According to the pressure of gas filled in a gas charge chamber122defined by a lid120and a diaphragm130, the diaphragm130is displaced, the movement of which is transmitted through a stopper140to a shaft member150. The shaft member150is guided by a guide member170and drives a valve member160disposed within a valve chamber161. The cassette unit100is inserted to the piping member10and fixed by a ring50. Seal members62, 64, 66are fit to necessary areas.
