ABSTRACT:
An expansion valve1comprises a piping member10having passages to which pipes for a refrigerant are connected, and a cassette unit100, which are formed as separate components. The cassette unit100comprises a tube member110accommodating a guide member170, an orifice member180and a plate member166. A diaphragm130sandwiched between a rising portion121of a lid120and an end110′cof the tube member110and defining a gas charge chamber122is displaced, the movement of which is transmitted to a shaft member150. The shaft member150is guided by a guide member170and drives a valve member160disposed within a valve chamber161. The cassette unit100is inserted to the piping member10and fixed by a ring50. Seal members62, 64, 66are disposed to necessary areas.
