ABSTRACT:
An evaporator10of an air conditioner comprises a refrigerant entrance port12and a refrigerant exit port14. A division wall16of the evaporator is extended to form a housing200. The housing200comprises an inlet210for the refrigerant traveling from a compressor, an outlet220communicating with the entrance port12of the evaporator, and a refrigerant path230returning from the evaporator. The cassette unit100comprises a pipe member110, a flange member120and a lid member130, with major components of the expansion valve such as a diaphragm and a driving member for driving a valve means assembled thereto. The cassette unit100is accommodated in a hole240with steps of the housing200to complete the expansion valve.
