ABSTRACT:
There are provided novel ester derivatives represented by the following formula(I): ##STR1## wherein, R.sub.1 represents methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, t-butyl, or phenyl; R.sub.2 represents phenyl, methoxy, ethoxy, isopropanoxy, or t-butanoxy; and X represents Br, and a process for preparing the same which comprises reacting an aldehyde of the formula (III) with an acid halide of the formula (IV) at 20.degree.-80.degree. C. in the presence or absence of solvents. ##STR2## Wherein, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and X have the same meaning as defined above.
