ABSTRACT:
A method for producing an L-amino acid, such as L-phenylalanine or L-threonine, is provided using a bacterium belonging to the genusEscherichia, wherein the L-amino acid productivity of said bacterium is enhanced by enhancing an activity of the protein encoded by the yedA gene.
