ABSTRACT:
Novel erythromycin A derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof are disclosed. They exhibit excellent antibacterial activity against erythromycin resistant bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma species.
