ABSTRACT:
An equalization signal generator generates an equalization signal having a constant pulse width. The constant pulse width prevents an equalization timing shortage from occurring due to a singly applied address transition detecting signal. The present invention prevents the pulse width of the equalization signal from being wider than required resulting from a plurality of overlapped address transition detection signals by decreasing a pulse width of the equalization signal to thereby enhance a semiconductor memory chip operating speed.
