ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a novel .alpha.-amino.alpha.-(p-acyloxyphenyl)acetamidopenicillanic acid which is useful as an antibacterial agent, and also to a novel process for the production of 6-D-(-).alpha.-amino-.alpha.-(p-hydroxyphenylacetamido)penicillanic acid (also known as amoxycillin).
