ABSTRACT:
The engine control apparatus includes: the stop switch body6; the stop switch knob3that allows the engine to stop or to be in an idling state; the lock plate5; the transponder9that can transmit a predetermined ID code; and the control section11that receives the ID code transmitted from the transponder9and that controls the engine operation based on the ID code; wherein the engine control apparatus is constituted such that, when the lock plate5is disengaged from the stop switch knob3, the stop switch body6is activated to allow the engine to stop or to be in an idling state; and the attachment10incorporating the transponder9is provided separately from the lock plate5and is detachably attached to the lock plate5.
