ABSTRACT:
A tool for inserting an engagement member for a connector which is designed so that the engagement member is inserted into a housing to engage a terminal in the housing. The tool has a tool body provided with a path in which the housing slides. Facing the path, a pusher is provided to push the engagement member into the housing. When the connector is pushed in the path in the tool, the connector slides therein, and the pusher comes in contact with the engagement member. In this way, the engagement member is pushed into the housing. The operator does not directly push the engagement member with his or her hands and fingers, and alternatively he or she may push the housing in the path. Thus, the burden of the operation of inserting the engagement member is greatly lightened.
