ABSTRACT:
Dynamoelectric machine stator assemblies with new and improved winding interconnection arrangements are disclosed. Windings are disposed in slots of a magnetic core with end turn portions thereof disposed adjacent a core face. The winding end turn portions are compressed and shaped to receive and support a connection insulator. A connection insulator comprising a plurality of holsters contains tap wire connection points and is located within a deformed section at the outer peripheral surface of the winding end turns. The connection insulator is retained in position by a retention means and secured to the winding end turns by lacing material.
