ABSTRACT:
An encapsulated and partitioned switching system employing compressed gas insulation. For each bus bar system (I, II, III) there is provided a coupling field (KFI, KFII, KFIII) in which are installed a first bus bar end section (6.sub.I, 6.sub.II, 6.sub.III), at least a first disconnect switch (2) and a coupling switch (3), while a second bus bar end section (7.sub.I, 7.sub.II, 7.sub.III) is always disposed in an adjacent coupling field (KFI, KFII).
