ABSTRACT:
The present invention comprises the encapsulation of a sweetening agent in a coating material including a hydrophobic polymer and a hydrophobic plasticizer. The encapsulated sweetening agent is protected from deterioration due to moisture and provides controlled release of sweetener in products intended to be chewed during consumption.
