ABSTRACT:
Disclosed are novel compositions for embolizing blood vessels which are particularly suited for treating vascular lesions via catheter delivery. In one embodiment, the compositions of this invention comprise a biocompatible polymer, a biocompatible solvent and a biocompatible water insoluble contrast agent characterized by having an average particle size of less than about 10 .mu.m.
In another embodiment, the biocompatible polymer in these compositions is replaced with a biocompatible prepolymer.
