ABSTRACT:
An elevator levelling/hatch control circuit including a motor controller, elevator dispatching unit, an elevator location sensing unit, and a control unit. The control unit receives hatch position signals, monitors the speed and direction of elevator motion and generates hatch open/close commands and elevator speed and direction commands to assure safe elevator operation in a shipboard environment. In one embodiment the circuit utilizes miniature electromechanical relays that may be visually monitored and easily tested.
