ABSTRACT:
An element arranging structure for a transducer array to form three-dimensional images of an object from the surface shape of the object is provided. The transducer array includes a plurality of sub-elements each having a respectively different center frequency. The transducer array, with sub-elements, enable ultrasonic three-dimensional image formation by analyzing the frequency spectrum of received ultrasonic echo signals to discern a plurality of targets, and determining the position of the elevational direction for each target as a peak frequency.
