ABSTRACT:
A method for the anionic polymerization of a lactam which produces an nylon having a surface resistivity of between about 10.sup.6 to about 10.sup.12 .OMEGA./.quadrature.. Miscible antistatic agents are mixed with the lactam and the moisture concentration in the lactam is adjusted to about 0.4 wt %. When required to complete the polymerization, the initiator concentration in the lactam is adjusted to about 1 wt %.
