ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed an electrophotographic plate comprising an electroconductive supporting substrate and a photoconductive layer formed thereon, wherein the photoconductive layer contains an organic photoconductive material as a charge generation material, said organic photoconductive material being a naphthalocyanine compound represented by the formula ##STR1## or the general formula ##STR2## wherein M denotes one member selected from the group consisting of Cu, Zn, Mg, OTi, OV, ClAl ClGa, ClIn, Cl.sub.2 Si, Cl.sub.2 Ge, and Cl.sub.2 Sn.
