ABSTRACT:
An electrophotograph photosensitive material comprising a photosensitive layer containing an azo pigment on an electroconductive substrate thereof, wherein said azo pigment in which an organic comprises residual group as expressed by the following general formula (I) bonded to an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocyclic group optionally via a bonding or coupling group: ##STR1## wherein X is a residual group for forming an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocyclic group condensed with a benzene ring, A is --NR.sub.4 -- wherein R.sub.4 is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aralkyl group or aryl group, R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aralkyl group or aryl group, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, aralkyl group, carbamoyl group, aryl group, heterocyclic group, halogen atom, nitro group, acyl group, cyano group or together, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 form a ring and are the same or different from each other.
