ABSTRACT:
An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising an electrically conductive support and, formed thereon, at least a charge generating layer and a charge transporting layer, the charge generating layer containing a phthalocyanine pigment and, as a resin binder, at least one copolymer which comprises as recurring units at least styrene units and maleic anhydride half ester units represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group or an aryl group. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has high sensitivity and excellent durability.
