ABSTRACT:
Color selection and grey values are obtained in electrophoretic displays causing pixels, which have a main reservoir (16) surrounded by auxiliary reservoirs (18) for the primary colors and an entrance electrode (13), to move particles to the main display area and further electrodes (14, 26, 27) for grey value selection.
