ABSTRACT:
Electronic display apparatus simulating a mechanical analog display for the portrayal of two or more measured variables includes an indicator assembly having a substrate supporting a plurality of optically variable elements, combinations of which enable the visual presentation of the measured parameters relative to a fixed scale or to each other. The apparatus is especially well suited for use as the time display of an electronic horological instrument either alone or together with a month and date digital display and/or a day of the week display which includes an array of seven indicators five of which are arranged to form a separately discernable group representing the days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The display apparatus is electronically driven and includes no moving parts.
