ABSTRACT:
With the object of providing an electronic device having good radio signal receiving characteristics with a metal outer case housing therewithin an antenna section without restrictions imposed with regard to material or design, an electronic device minimally having an antenna section32, an information processing means33for processing information that is captured by the antenna section32, and a metal outer case31, which houses therewithin the antenna section32and the information processing means33, wherein the metal outer case is configured so that the antenna section32can receive magnetic flux from outside via the metal outer case31and can resonate, the metal outer case31minimally comprising a metal case body member45and a metal caseback member41, and wherein a joining and fixing portion400between the metal case body member45and the metal caseback member41is not provided at a location or in the vicinity of at least a location opposite the substantially center part of the antenna section32.
