ABSTRACT:
A portable blood pressure and pulse rate device utilizing coordinated systems of pressure and sound transducers and calibration gauge using LED or LCD readout having an electronically operable pressure threshold setter that can be set about 30 millimeters mercury equivalence or more above the anticipated highest systolic blood pressure of the subject; the pressure threshold is entered into the RAM memory to automatically trigger the electronic sensing and latching of the blood pressure and pulse rate values only after the set pressure threshold has been reached; the degree of physical activity can be independently programmed from the degree of emotional stress through two sets of electronic function levers for storage and future recall of these data respective to the date, time, identification, and other relevant data per patient; right or left arm where blood pressure is taken is programmable. All data can be recalled by synthesized speech and/or visually.
