ABSTRACT:
An electromagnetic energy converter comprises a frame-like magnet core, a closed magnetic path being formed along the sides of the magnetic core, a winding wound around the magnet core and connected to a power supply or a load, an armature conductor having a frame-like body forming a closed electric circuit and having a portion of the magnet core passed therethrough, and a field magnet disposed so that the magnetic flux generated thereby passes through the magnet core and armature conductor. One of the winding, armature conductor and field magnet is movable with respect to the magnet core. Electric power is transmitted between the winding and armature conductor by electromagnetic induction, and conversion of electromagnetic energy takes place between the magnetic flux generated by the field magnet and the armature conductor through the displacement of the movable part.
