ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a porous anode electrolytic capacitor and casing therefor. The casing is made of nickel and has a contoured inner surface with a thin layer of silver plating thereon which follows the contour thereof. Adhered to the silver plating is a porous layer of particles of a platinum group metal which enhances the cathode surface area of the capacitor. Also disclosed is a timing capacitor including the casing. The capacitor is useful at temperatures up to 125.degree. C.
