ABSTRACT:
An electrodeless self-ballasted fluorescent lamp includes: a luminous bulb1having a cavity portion15; an induction coil3inserted in the cavity portion15; a ballast4electrically connected to the induction coil3; and a base7, wherein the luminous bulb1, the ballast4and the base7are configured as one unit. The luminous bulb1includes an approximately spherical outer tube12and an inner tube11. At least the surface of the upper hemisphere of the outer tube12is coated with a silicone rubber10having the property of transmitting light.
