ABSTRACT:
An electrode device having an electrolyte container separated from the test medium by a membrane member, a cathode within the electrolyte container having the shape of the end section of a precious metal conductor protruding from an insulating body and a reference electrode being provided within the electrolyte container characterized in that the electrolyte container is sealed as a pressure chamber during sterilization whereby the pressure on each side of the membrane member remains substantially the same during sterilization.
