ABSTRACT:
Electrolytically prepare para-chloroalkyl aromatic compounds, such as para-chlorotoluene, using a potential of less than 1.5 volts, as measured against a Ag/Ag.sup.+ reference electrode, and an anode which is free of cyclodextrin.
