ABSTRACT:
An electrically-powered steering apparatus capable of detecting abnormality in a first angle detector and a second angle detector includes a steering shaft12and a pinion shaft13connected to each other through a torsion bar14. If a differential (|θ1−θ2|) between the steering detection angle θ1and the steering detection angle θ2is equal to or over a predetermined value θ0for a predetermined time, it is detected that abnormality occurs in the angle sensor15or the angle sensor16.
