ABSTRACT:
An apparatus and method are presented for removing filler from electrical cords during manufacture. The electrical cord is stripped of its outer jacket to expose the filler and conductors and thereafter positioned within a nozzle where the stripped end is subjected to microprocessor controlled heated and unheated air pulses to degradate and remove the filler along the stripped end portion prior to attaching the cord conductors to electrical appliances or the like.
