ABSTRACT:
Small concentrations of certain dispersed oxides such as CeO.sub.2 substantially improve the electrical contact properties of gold. Gold with dispersed CeO.sub.2 is superior to gold for use as an electrical contact because of much greater resistance to arc erosion and welding and only slightly higher contact resistance.
