ABSTRACT:
A connector has a pair of male and female connector housings13, 48. The male connector housing13has an inner housing15that receives a looseness protecting wedge ring42having a tapered rear end surface43a. The inner housing15also receives a waterproof spring packing31abutting against a fore end of the wedge ring42. The inner housing15has an inner surface that engages with the tapered surface43aof the wedge ring42. On engagement of the connector housings13and48, a fore end of the spring packing31is engaged with an inner wall of the female connector housing48, and the female connector housing48is closely engaged with the inner housing15via the wedge ring42. Alternatively, the inner housing15that receives inner and outer wedge rings38, 41engaged with each other. The inner wedge ring38has a tapered surface39athat engages with a tapered surface43aof the outer wedge ring41.
