An electrical card connector comprises an insulative housing10defining a main body11with a plurality of passageways12for receiving corresponding contacts20therein, the sidewalls14substantially parallel extend forwards from the opposite sides of the main body11and a rear wall16is also formed on the top side, a plurality of contacts20received in the passageways12and each has a contact portion201extending above the surface of the insulative housing10to contact circuitry on a card, a pair of hooks30engage with the insulative housing10defining a receiving cavity50together with main body11. A pair of opening18runs through the opposite sidewalls14from the top down respectively, wherein a pair of platform19is defined in opening18for carrying the planar portion301.
