ABSTRACT:
An electric switching apparatus having a nonconducting outer housing member containing a nonconducting inner member having a cavity therein containing a plurality of electrical contacts and a conducting rod. The contacts are resiliently supported and the conducting rod is resiliently supported between corresponding sets of resiliently deformable diaphragms. A conducting stiffening member is resiliently supported between the inner and outer nonconducting members.
