ABSTRACT:
When a column4reaches a tilting ascent end, the lower end732of a nut73abuts on the buffering segment83of a buffer82. Thus, while the buffering segment83of the buffer82is elastically deformed, the nut73stops with no impact. Accordingly, the inertia when the nut73stops is restrained and the tightening torque of the nut73when the nut73stops is also restrained. For this reason, when an electric motor61is rotationally driven in a reverse direction, a feeding screw shaft71rotates in the reverse direction with the normal rotation torque of the electric motor61. Thus, the nut73is caused to ascend in the axial direction along the screw segment of the feeding screw shaft71so that the column4can be tiltingly moved downward.
