ABSTRACT:
A fan30for mounting at one end of the armature of an electric motor comprises a ring portion40of moulded thermoplastic material supporting an annular plate42with integrally formed fan blades46in axial alignment with exhaust vents formed in the housing of the motor. The fan blades46extend radially across a face of the annular plate42remote from the ring portion40and extend into the annulus of the plate. The blades46are grouped and centered on the winding tunnels of the armature with the axially outer edges of the blades of each group joined together by a radial wall50within the radial spacing of the annulus of the plate42but axially spaced therefrom.
