ABSTRACT:
An electric motor comprising a shaft300on which is mounted n motor modules (where n is an integer). Each motor module consists of two generally disc-shaped rotors302having a coil304sandwiched between them. Each rotor/coil module is separated from the adjacent module by an insulative spacer element306and a PTFE disc308which is mounted on the shaft300concentrically with the rotors302and the coil304.The axis about which each coil304is wound is substantially in line with the axis of rotation of the respective rotors302.
