ABSTRACT:
Electric lamps having a simple, strong and reliable current lead-through construction according to the invention have, on a tungsten lead-through conductor, a first glass layer on which and between the ends of which a second glass layer is provided. The wall of the lamp vessel is fused to the second layer. Glasses having at least 95% by weight of SiO.sub.2 are used for the layer and also for the wall of the lamp vessel.
