ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to an electric incandescent lamp, in particular a vehicle headlight, having at least one incandescent filament which is arranged within a light-permeable lamp vessel, the at least one incandescent filament having different pitch factors at its two ends. In order to increase the luminance at the light/dark boundary of the lower beam, that end of the incandescent filament which is near to the base has a lower pitch factor.
