ABSTRACT:
An electric double layer capacitor including an electrode containing a carbonaceous material having a specific surface area of at least 500 m.sup.2 /g, and an organic electrolytic solution capable of forming an electric double layer at the interface with the electrode, wherein the electrode is bonded to a current collector via a carbon type conductive adhesive layer containing a conductive carbon material and a polyimide resin.
